Hunter Adkins (he/him) is an actor, stage manager, and the executive director of Couch Penny Ensemble. In 2023, his work as a stage manager for Couch Penny Ensemble’s This is Our Youth reinvigorated his love for theatre and the creative process in a time where he did not know if he would continue with it. During this production, he taught himself how to program a light board on the fly during a 3-day tech week and discovered a love for learning new skills. He programmed lights and cues in just 8 hours for Couch Penny's production of Project Larry. He has also stage managed for their productions of Everybody and Wolves. Acting credits include Tolstoy in Antistrophe to an Andro-Sapphic Tragedy (Minnesota Fringe Festival), George in Wake Up, Mrs. Moore (Iambe Theatre Ensemble) and Dev in Stupid Fucking Bird (CCPA). He wouldn’t be where he is today without this wonderful group of artists.
